Is Lexora Gold worth it? An honest comparison
We'd rather you didn't buy something you won't use. Here's a straight answer about when Gold makes sense and when it doesn't.

Gold is Lexora's premium tier. It's optional, nothing in the game is locked behind it, and plenty of people should stay on the free tier. Here's the actual comparison.
What changes
| Free | Gold | |
|---|---|---|
| AI generations per day | 2 free, then coins | 50 — effectively unlimited |
| Ads | Opt-in rewarded video + small banners | None at all |
| AI model | Our fast, efficient model | Our highest-quality model |
| All 8 game modes | Yes | Yes |
| Offline play & sync | Yes | Yes |
| Leaderboards & streaks | Yes | Yes |
The model difference is the underrated part
Most premium tiers just remove friction. This one changes the product. Gold routes your generations through a stronger model, which shows up as more inventive crossword clues, better-calibrated quiz questions, and fewer bland answers on unusual topics.
If you mostly play word searches, you'll barely notice. If you play crosswords and quizzes on unusual subjects, it's the most noticeable thing about Gold.
You should probably get Gold if…
- You play most days and regularly want more than two fresh puzzles.
- You'd rather not watch rewarded videos, and would prefer to just play.
- You mainly play crossword or quiz, where clue quality matters most.
- You're using it to study, and generate the same subject repeatedly.
You should probably skip it if…
- Two puzzles a day already suits how you play.
- You mostly replay puzzles already in your library — that's always free.
- You don't mind rewarded ads. There's no cap on them, so you can generate plenty without paying.
- You're new. Play for a week first and see what your actual pattern is.
Plans
Gold is available weekly, monthly and yearly, plus a one-time lifetime unlock that never expires. A family plan can share it. Prices vary by region and are always shown in your local currency before you confirm; subscriptions renew until cancelled in Google Play, which you control entirely from your Play account.
